Anxiety often brings guilt with it.
If I really trusted God…
If I were a better wife…
If I were more content…
If I were a better wife…
If I were more content…
But anxiety does not cancel love.
Love and Anxiety Can Coexist
A wife can:
- Love her husband deeply
- Desire a healthy marriage
- Be faithful in commitment
And still struggle internally.
Anxiety speaks loudly, but it does not define devotion.
When Anxiety Becomes Self-Blame
Many women turn anxiety inward:
- I’m the problem.
- I’m too much.
- I’m not enough.
Scripture does not reinforce this narrative.
It redirects our gaze back to Christ.
It redirects our gaze back to Christ.
Learning to Separate Identity From Emotion
Feelings change.
Identity in Christ does not.
Identity in Christ does not.
A wife is not defined by her calmness, her emotional steadiness, or her ability to “hold it together.”
She is defined by grace.
If anxiety has made you question yourself as a wife, hear this clearly:
Your anxiety does not disqualify you from love, faithfulness, or growth.
